Original publisher's beige paper wrappers. 6" x 9 1/2." Nineteen pages, complete (except for a few portions of text, described below). Pages are clean and intact overall but there is light age toning throughout, darkening and soiling on first few pages and verso of last page, and a chip measuring about 1" x 1 1/2" on first page and a few of the last pages. The chip affects text on Pages 17-19. Page 18 has some loss of text, namely, two numbers that show the number of war steamers owned by Denmark and Austria, respectively. The affected text on Pages 17 and 19 can still be made out or inferred; the affected texts on Page 17 are "headers" about the number of vessels engaged in trade; the affected texts on Page 19 are the names of countries, namely, Sardinia, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil. A Good copy. A report submitted by Secretary of the Navy George Bancroft to the United States Senate about other countries' navies from around the world. Report is predominantly statistical data.
